Really sorry it's late, but she's here!!

Kairi Melody Staff was born on Saturday 20th April 2013 at 09:21. 8lb 10oz.
39+6 by NHS dates, 41+3 by mine (now everyone agree that my dates were probably right!)

Here is our birth story :) (FINALLY!!)

Woke up Friday morning(19/04/13) and went swimming with sister, got out of pool and had a bit of pain, so we decided to walk round town, after town we went to mine, where we saw the health visitor who panicked! (Contractions weren't even regular!) went from mine to breast feeding cafe where all the girls gave me information on labor, then I went home and bounced on my ball for hours, while my friend was round. At this point it was 8 and my contractions were 5mins apart and 30secs long. Waited until midnight when contractions were 1 min long and 3/4mins apart, when we went into hospital.
Went with no pain relief until 7 am when I had gas and air.
They told me to go home, but would offer a examination, so I got the examination which made me lose my plug and I was told I was 3-4cms. Was then told I couldn't have the dolphin suite because of my bmi!
So I got taken into delivery suit, where I bounced on ball, sat on bed and laid on my left side. All was ok, except they had to keep turning me every 15mins to check babies heartbeat which put me in agony.
At 8:30 I started pushing, baby Kairi was born at 9:21, Ryan caught her and I cut her cord.
I was having a natural placenta delivery with delayed cord clamping and keeping my placenta, but I was bleeding too much and they couldn't stop it, they pulled the emergency cord and people started flooding the room giving me injections, putting in canularas, trying to insert a catheter (they never did!), pushing on my stomach, it was really scary, all I was told was that I'd lost too much blood. (1700ml when it should be 500ml max)
Through all the stress, they threw my placenta away! And I ended up on a drip for 5 hours, which meant no bath/was and no going to the toilet! They kept us in over night to help establish breastfeeding. We went home Sunday afternoon.

Will post more pictures as soon as I have the time to use the pc!!
